How long have you been involved in tobacco control?
What brought you to tobacco control work?
I got involved in tobacco because I wanted to increase health equity through concrete changes in society, and tobacco is one area where people have been marginalized for almost every reason imaginable. I want a world free from death and addiction, and I want the most vulnerable populations to receive justice.
What is your favorite part of empowering youth?
My favorite part of empowering youth is a tie between encouraging them to bring out gifts they never knew they had, and providing a platform for them to shine. I take so much pride and joy watching youth I work with blossom and grow into powerful advocates for change, and using their gifts for the betterment of society.
What do you do in your free time?
My favorite activity is hanging with my husband and our son Jonas – he bring us so much joy! I also like to play music, cook, run, travel, and hang with friends and family. I’ve been known to enjoy an art project or two when I have time…or to marathon shows on Netflix when it’s a couch night.
