Valerie Nauman is recent a graduate of the George Washington University with a BA in Political Science and Public Health. At George Washington, she became interested in youth activism as a member of the Roosevelt Institute, a national student-run think tank, which provided her with firsthand experience learning about activism and youth empowerment.
For two years, Valerie worked on the national level as a student staff member of the Roosevelt Institute running the Mid-Atlantic operations and working on policies including clean water rights, food justice, and federal engagement. Bringing experience as a young adult advocate, a published policy writer, and a grassroots organizer, Valerie is also a Legislative Affairs MPS candidate in George Washington’s Graduate School of Political Management.
Valerie currently serves as a Youth Advocacy Program Associate with the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids providing programmatic support to uplift the voices of youth and ensure successful execution of the Youth Advocacy team’s programs including the National Youth Ambassador Programs, Taking Down Tobacco, and the Youth Engagement Alliance.
