Kick Butts Day 2015 is March 18th!

The KBD season has officially begun and registration for Kick Butts Day 2015 is now open! Kick Butts Day 2015 will be March 18, 2015.

This year marks 20 years of kicking butts. The Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids launched the first Kick Butts Day in 1996. Since then, thousands of people like you around the world have hosted successful Kick Butts Day events to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco.

While much has changed in the past 20 years, some things remain the same: tobacco use is still the number one cause of preventable death, and 90% of smokers still start smoking before the age of 18. While we’ve made tremendous progress, there is still work to be done.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating 20 years of kicking butts by joining the fight and registering an event today to keep the fight against Big Tobacco going strong. Together, we can #FinishIt.

THREE EASY STEPS TO MAKING YOUR KICK BUTTS DAY EVENT A BIG SUCCESS:

STEP 1: PLAN YOUR EVENT

Find event ideas by searching the Kick Butts Day Activities Database. The Activities Database provides a quick way to find event ideas based on the age range of participants, cost and time involved. You’ll find both tried-and-true favorites and some exciting new activities contributed by successful youth advocacy programs around the country.

Have an idea for a new activity? Let us know by e-mailing KBDinfo@kickbuttsday.org.

STEP 2: REGISTER YOUR EVENT

Once you’ve decided on a Kick Butts Day event, tell us about it by registering it. That way we can help promote your event and add it to the interactive map of events across the country. Registering your event helps us amplify our message even more!

STEP 3: SUPERCHARGE YOUR EVENT

An effective Kick Butts Day activity should not only raise awareness but affect change in your community.Supercharge your event to make sure you maximize its impact! You can supercharge your event by developing a fundraising and sponsorship strategy, promoting your event to the media, participating on social media, creating powerful visuals and kicking butts in style with Kick Butts Day branded gear.
