Erica Olmstead currently serves as the Youth Advocacy Manager at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Washington, DC, a leading force in the fight to reduce tobacco use and its deadly toll in the United States and around the world. In her role, she works to empower and support youth advocates to create meaningful policy change. In her role, Erica manages Tobacco-Free Kids’ various youth advocacy programs including Kick Butts Day, the National Youth Ambassador Program (including the Youth Advocates of the Year Awards and Youth Advocacy Symposium) and the Youth Engagement Alliance.
Erica’s journey with youth advocacy and tobacco control began as a passionate youth advocate in New York with the Reality Check program. Over the past 13 years, she has continuously focused her efforts on empowering youth to advocate against corporate tobacco, first as a youth advocate, later as a local Program Coordinator and now as a member of the Youth Advocacy team at Tobacco Free Kids.
