Youth Advocacy Associate at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids
Position: Youth Advocacy Associate
Travis Smith currently serves as the Youth Advocacy Program Associate at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids in Washington, DC, a leading force in the fight to reduce tobacco use and its deadly toll in the United States and around the world. In his role, Travis works to engage youth advocates in local, state, and national policy initiatives and advocacy to help advance tobacco-control around the country.
Travis has long been interested in engaging youth in the political process and encouraging them to make their voices heard on the issues they are passionate about through his work with both Close Up Foundation and the Katie Brown Educational Program. Both in his current role and in his previous work with youth advocates, he has seen time and time again the progress that can be made when a passionate group of young people come together and engage their communities.
